Ants

Ants are a very common pest problem in Texas. Fire ants are the most problematic with their hardiness and painful stings. Texas red harvester ants, carpenter ants, and pharaoh ants are also troublesome. Indoors, ants are attracted to any sweet foods or spills and pose a contamination risk. Carpenter ants are known to chew through wood in your home’s walls! An ant mound in your backyard can ruin many otherwise beautiful days for your family, and tough ant problems always require professional intervention.

Cockroaches

Roaches are not only quite terrifying, they also pose a serious health risk for you and your family. These bugs feed on your food in your kitchen, and transport diseases such as E. coli and salmonella from one food to the next. They are active at night and great at hiding, so infestations often get out of control before you even notice the first one. And if there’s one- there’s more. Therefore, calling a qualified professional service such as Kindred is so important.

German Cockroaches

If you’re seeing very small brown cockroaches in your home, you might have an even bigger problem than it may seem… German roaches. German roaches are a real scourge to deal with! They are capable of reproducing at an extremely high rate, and they live and breed in your kitchen, often even in your foods. This poses an extreme health risk. Frustratingly, these small pests do not respond to traditional pesticides and require an intensive treatment regimen to fully eradicate. Kindred has just the option!

Scorpions

If you’ve ever been stung by a scorpion, you know they’re more than just a pest you can ignore in your home. With painful stings, these pests and your family just don’t mix. Fun fact: scorpions have been around for at least 430,000,000 years with very little change! That alone should make it quite clear that they’re hard to kill and best left to the pros.

Spiders

Even if you aren’t an arachnophobe, spiders can be creepy when they’ve made their home in your home! Most aren’t dangerous, such as the house spiders and wolf spiders, but Texas is home to two poisonous spiders as well- the brown recluse and the black widow, both of which can be found in unassuming places in your home. Spider bites can be deadly, so a pest control program is crucial to keep your family safe.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are an extremely difficult problem to solve once you have them. These tiny, sneaky little pests live on and in your furniture, biting and posing health risks as they do. If you find bites on your skin, often in a line, it’s possible you are dealing with bed bugs. These welts can be itchy, swollen, and bleeding. An infestation is tricky to identify to the untrained eye, and most non-professional treatments are ineffective. If you have bed bugs, Kindred is here to help.

Wasps and Stinging Bugs

Wasps are adept at making those unsightly nests around the eaves of your home, up high where they are not easily reached. They then have the perfect vantage point to sting you! Yellow jackets, hornets, and bees are even more pests that love to ruin a nice summer day with a painful sting. With the abundance of allergies, some even life-threatening, to these pests, having Kindred around to sweep any nests down and take care of the problem before it starts is really a lifesaver!

Fleas

If your favorite pet is scratching a bit more than usual, your allergies are acting up, or you’ve noticed other evidence of fleas, it can be a very stressful time for everyone involved. Fleas can reproduce in less than two weeks in the warm weather of Texas. They also carry disease such as typhus and you can be exposed if bitten. Professional pest control treatments are needed to get rid of any flea problems and to prevent re-infestation.
